Fitting stove into existing gas fire chimney: new flue req?

I've recently removed an existing gas fire from my property and am getting a multi-fuel stove installed. THere is an existing flue liner (6in diameter) installed, can anyone tell me if this one is suitable for a multi-fuel stove, based on the photos below? I don't want to get someone in who is going to charge me for a new flue if the existing one can do the job.

Please don't connect to this as it looks like mild steel. Stainless is required for stoves to take the heat.

You need a new 6" liner of stainless steel!

The old one might be tricky to remove but you can't use it as it will fall to pieces in no time.
