Fitting urinal cistern remotely?

Has anyone fitted a concealed urinal cistern further away and higher up from the urinals than standard?

Armitage Shanks/Ideal Standard recommend 1370mm from urinal lip to bottom of cistern and just say you shouldn’t stray from that.

It would be much easier to fit it in the loft space but it would be about 2200mm from urinal lip to cistern and 2500mm horizontally across from the urinals.

Anyone have any real world experience of doing this?

No experience, but I'd guess the extra head of water could be a problem if the flush were too powerful and water shot out over the edge of the urinal?
