FITTING WOOD BATH FRONT PANEL

I am about to fit a beech front panel I wondered if there were any suggestions to fit it without sticking screws through into the battens as suggested in the instructions I had ideas of heavy duty velcro .But it is suspended somewhat from the top with a plinth trim at the bottom
