Hi all,
Just fitted the new shower and I've got a slight problem. It's a tec 8" fixed head shower. It's basically a 450mm long pipe sticking out of the wall with a large 8" diameter shower head attached. The end of it is attached to 15mm copper pipe with a normal compression elbow (supplied with the kit) but when I turn the shower on, the shower head fills up and sags down by about 1-2" putting a lot of stress on the fitting.
I phoned the shower company to be told that it's been designed and tested to be like this and it'll be fine. If you ask me this is a crock as it will be buried in a cavity wall and I really don't want to have to hack it out to get to it when it starts leaking!!
Does anyone have any experience of fitting these??? I suspect it needs a bracket near the head but that defeats the object of the look of this shower head!
Thanks
FK
