I have a small area surround a large opening (3.6m) which I am looking to insluate (50mm) and then plaster board. The wall is an uninsulated cavity wall so fixing directly to the inside skin should not cause any damp issues. On one side there is only around 100mm width and the other 250mm width to insulate.
Building a stud framework for the insulation seems a overkill really.

Above the window I can easily fix the insulation/platerboard to the wood I have but on the sides its brick.

Any recommendations on how to secure celotex to brick such that I can then screw plasterboard to it?

Buy some insulation bonded plasterboards then foam fix 'em. Success may be hindered by a foil backing however.... :(
