Hi
I want to put blinds up speedily, cheaply and with minimum fuss as quite a lot of them ( i.e. prefer not to have to use battens)
I have sash windows. On one of the windows I want to put it on the architrave surface mounted at the top. The architrave may be ogee ??
At the top edge of the architrave there is a flat section which the first screw hole bracket will align with. The second screw hole underneath will align with the middle of the curved section of the ogee where it is proudest, but is slightly less proud that the straight section above, if you get my meaning.
If I can pad out the curved bit, the blind bracket will sit straighter.
I wondered about using woodfiller to fill in to make a platform, or maybe use some foam tape to hold the area around the bottom hole to keep it straight and then screw through.
Any suggestions or other ideas around this ?
