Fixing to metal wall

Hi

I need to put up a few external fixtures for my workshop. It's a small industrial unit with the typical double skin steel sheet walls, presumably with some sort of insulation in the middle. Any ideas what hardware I should be using to fix to it?

The cams and lights came with 4mm screws with o-ring weather seals and wall plugs for brick/block.

Hi,

I have seen similar problems on Portakabins.
If the fittings are really lightweight, some short (galvanised) self tappers will be fine.
If the fittings are heavy weight, bolt all the way through the wall, with some gaskets and washers.

I hope that helps, but wait around - I'm sure there will be some more ideas!

Self tappers and a suitable drill, if thin steel, or drill, tap and machine screws if thicker.

Hardwood back board. Fitted with self tapping screws.

Or rivnuts.

Used tecfast self tapping screws , they fixed easily to 10mm thick steel .
