Hi - Can anyone advise best way to remove flaking paint from rendered wall before re-painting?
The rendering is in excellent condition, being completeley renewed some 9 years ago. About three years ago, when having some painting done inside, I decided to have the outside re-painted as well. It would seem that the decorator did not prepare the surface but just painted over the existing, and the paint is now flaking off.
My question is about the best way to completely remove the flaking paint without damaging the rendering - was thinking maybe a power washer?
I do not want the finish to have areas where there are still some bits of the paint still adhering to the wall - if you can understand what I mean !!!
As the rendering is so good, I feel really sad about this mess.javascript:emoticon('')
Any advise would be very appreciated so I have some good information before getting quotes for the job - and this forum is the place to get it!
Thanks so much
