Different methods used to weather it, the left one has a lead apron, bead and render.

I don't think thats a lead apron on the front of the left side. Just looks like render.
Lead sheet covering the slates, up the wall and under the render.

You mean on the side that runs up the roof? what about the front face of it as I cannot see any flashing under the render.
The flashing will run under the render.

To answer your question: The flashed parapet on the RH is the way to go - sheet lead flashing is far better than render.
Plus the roofers have used best practice individual soakers for the roof covering abutment on the RH side.

Poster #2 says there's a bead - no there's not, there's no "bead" present - the render on the left hand parapet has a Bell Cast.
We dont know if any cover flashing is present under the Bell Cast render?
Anyway, its bad practice to render over lead flashings.
He also says that: "the one on the left has a lead apron" - no it doesn't.
