Hello All,

Hopefully some advice would be appreciated.

My flat roof is a bit knackered. It has been repaired badly a couple of times from what I can make out. And it is ready for relacement. as it is leaking at the edge and has caused the facia to rot away and the guttering to fail.

On the face of it i am thinking about getting a pro in to re do the felt.

But the DIYer in me is thinking about doing it myself. Although the roof to the right of the yellow line is my neighbour so I dont want to touch that and or cause leaks as it will need joining together....

Do you think it is a pro job? or could I get it done?

Whats the all park to replace some timber above the window and re felt the half a roof.

Thanks in advance.

do an epdm roof? single ply rubber glued on and alleged to outlast felt.

im doing one this weekend, absolutely considered doing a felt roof but knowing its limitations/life expectancy, thought that it might be good to try something new out and i cant say i've seen much bad said about them. probably similar costs if you were using good quality felt.

tell your neighbours that theirs needs doing too : )
