Flat roof detail

Hello folks

I have a couple of question regarding construction of my new office flat roof. What is standard practice for ceiling joist layout on the external corner, do I create a ladder like in pitch roofs. Should I use joist hangers for connecting short joists to longer joist or can they be screwed?
I am going to put a fascia board & soffit on the end of joists

id create a ladder using 2 more joists and use screws.

so you will be putting in ceiling noggins then.
reason why i asked it looks good for storage.

yep.but you will probably need noggins throughout the center?
dunno what the span is?but if mine i would.
