Flat Roof - Ladders

I am replacing some broken guttering above my flat roof but I am conscious that I don't want to just put up some ladders and damage the roof, does anyone have any advice on distributing the weight?

sheet of 18mm ply and dont forget an extra body footing the ladder..or get it scaffolded

Ply or a scaffold board etc.

The biggest concern is that the ladder has more chance of slipping on the board or the board slipping on the roof, so take the necessary precautions
