Looking for advice please.
I have a kitchen extension with a flat roof, which was in poor condition and needed to be redone.
I opted to go for the traditional torched on felt method, and it was done yesterday.
The guys seemed to do a really good job, but there is one thing that is worrying me and I’m wondering if any roofers are here who can advise me.
It concerns the edge.
I would have expected the felt to go to the edge and then the actual edging to be laid over the felt.
Instead, on mine, the edging is laid (ie up and over the edge) and the felt sits on top, stopping about 3 inches from the actual edge.
I’ve spoken to two roofers and a roofing supply company this morning. They all say this is “ not good”, to put it mildly !!!
however, I’ve now spoken to the guy who did the job who says it is fine, with nothing wrong with doing it that way, and it will not be an issue .
any thoughts.
thanks
Thanks
