flat roof needs insulating

help I have a flat roof on my house no crawl space or anything can anyone suggest a inexpensive way to insulate. at present has those old fashioned polystyrene tiles on ceiling. is their a modern version although they are awful
its better than nothing

No inexpensive solution :cry: .Celotex insulation 8x4 @ £30.plasterboard over :idea: Get on to the British Legion :idea:
 
thanks for your reply is their a particular type of colotex i need as their seems lots of differant kinds of it
 
Celotex or Kingspan from a builders merchant..........much better than Polystyrene- same thickness gives better insulation ....it`s foil faced so needs covering

take ceiling down and insulate between joists. plasterboard back over. check out knauf website... very good. if you're handy you can do it yourself but watch the electrics.

thanks again only problem is will have to put some joists up first as its a concrete roof.
no joists or anything
