Hi everyone

I need to get a suitable vent for a felted flat roof for my kitchen hood (Neff D79ML86) which I believe takes a diameter of 150mm or 120mm. I'll be getting my roofer to fit in a few days.

I'm looking at a couple of options :

1. http://www.roofingsuperstore.co.uk/...f-vent-terminal-twin-wall-150mm-diameter.html

Or

2.http://www.roofingsuperstore.co.uk/...raction/oft-1f166-flat-roof-ventterminal.html

Currently leaning towards the first as it looks to be a superior product and I want to pay and fit once.

Any thoughts on these? If I did go for the 166mm option what would the roofer need to close the gap of the vent of 150mm?

Thanks for any advice

Thanks Catlad

I have a feeling that they have discontinued the 150mm one and only offer a 166mm one now ... so 166m diameter in the pipe that sits below the roof and in the void.

My headache is how do I get a hole 166mm in diameter!? I've seen hole saws/core drills normally around 152mm (i.e. for a 150mm pipe) ... but 166mm is very odd.

I need to cut through felt, ply and foam insulation ... so I imagine the ply will be the sticking point.

Try roofingvents .co.uk and have you thought about using a jigsaw for cutting the hole.
