Flat roof

The flat roof consists of 150x50mm c24 @ 400mm ctrs with a sole plate to the underside at one end,
plate strapping yet to be done.


can someone advise what does this means ? i am confused now

Which bit is confusing you?

I guess when they say sole plate they really mean a wall plate which is typically a 100mm wide x 50mm high timber batten that sits on top of the wall, the joists sit on this wall plate:

The wall plate is then held down on the wall with metal straps that stop the whole roof from being blown away in a times of high winds:
