I've had a pitched roof installed, it's a lean to type roof over an existing extension. The builder has put the wall plate on the external leaf of the wall and placed the rafters on this. Can anyone tell me if this is correct?
I go with you on that noseall, however, I think that the straps could be already in place holding down the inside skin plates for the flat roof joists.
If the rafter tails are well/long deck screwed (or even bolted) on to the flat roof joists it would do. Packers could take up any gaps.
If the joists run in the opposite direction (although its doubtful that this is the case) then there are a couple of ways that we've used, but i would need to see a pic of the detailing.
