Hi, have a flexible, braided tap connector on the hot supply to a kitchen mixer running from a combi, so at mains pressure. Have noticed that there is a little bit of corrosion on a part of the steel braid and a couple of strands are standing proud. (Happened because the was water ingress under the mixer unit which ran down the connector.) Is this fraying of the braid a good reason to replace the connector? Am thinking about the possibility of a failure of the pipe inside because of fraying of the steel braid.
