Flexible tap tails

Have a kitchen tap were the part were the flexibile tap tails screw in to the body is recessed so can't get anything on the tails to give a little nip after screwing in hand tight. Has anyone fit one like this before? Usually ok just have tight? Thanks

they seem to have o-rings, at least mine do, and no leaks to far.

The fitting instructions often say to hand tighten them.

A smidging of silicone grease on the o rings and hand tight is more than fine
