Flexible wood for round window rebate?

I want a flexible material that I can use to form the rebate on a round window. I aim to butt this up to the edge of a recessed round window frame (500mm diameter, 230mm deep) and then plasterboard up to the edge.

Is this something generally available? I can't find anything suitable locally

Thin Birch ply is probably your best bet to get a nice finish to paint on .
