Hi, I have a flexicom 18hx glow worm with a nest thermostat connected. The nest panel has gone dead so I cannot switch on the heat at the moment. Can anyone explain to me how I can manually start it and override the nest setup. Google are sending me a replacement nest but won't have it for a few days

There are two contacts in the dead receiver, one for CH, t'other for hot water. Whichever function you want, simply connect the wire from the NO contact to the NC contact...they're usually next to each other. Be warned, the CH room stat will effectively be linked-out, so turn the boiler temperature down to stop the house overheating.
PS on the Nest the terminals are unreasonably small. Do me a favour and complain to Nest if you agree.
