hey I have a problem with the float valve that came with the new toilet I fitted its similar design to Fluidmaster 400 Bottom Entry Fill Valve Euro 3/8" on the screw fix site but a much cheaper version. Problem is the float bit that is meant to move up when the water rises doesnt move up as it has too much resistance against the straight bit. Has anyone had this problem before is it likely to be a faulty float valve?

never seen it happen before because of the reason your saying.
does it move ok by hand ?

yes moves ok by hand. But feels alot stiffer then the other toilet I have fitted in the cloak room were the valve works ok.

yes i would be inclined to just fit a better make valve than muck about
with it.
