Hi,
I've got an area approx 2.5m x 3m x 70mm where I need to increase the floor level and a floating floor looks to be a good option. I've seen in other posts I need a insulation slab, membrane and T&G chipboard.
With the chipboard there is reference to leaving a gap around the edge for expansion. However, it begs the question that if there is this gap all the way around the what stops the T&G from moving around? There was one post regarding a gap of 10mm which totals 20mm across the width meaning that the floor as whole could move 20mm?!?
Have I missed something about securing the T&G?
All help appreciated.
