A while ago a kitchen fitter put up some nice floating shelves for us using solid wood worktop, and I am trying to replicate this in a house in France. He used chemi anchored threaded rods into the blockwork behind the plasterboard. What I don't know is whether the PB was dot & dab or stud. They are incredibly sturdy.
This being France, there are no wooden studs, only thin aluminium bars holding the PB. My question is would the rods be strong enough to hold it across the gap - see picture.
Thanks in advance
