Floor Joist size....

Could someone please tell me what depth and width of Joist is needed for a 2300mm span at 400mm centres. With a support in the middle.

Should it also be C16 graded timber.

Supported in the middle, 2x4 C16 would be OK.

If its a ground floor, probably easier to do it un-supported in the middle.

Yes its ground floor, Just trying to figure things out. Got the planning in at the moment for a Ground floor single story extension with pitched roof.
