Hi
I have extended the bathroom in my sixth floor flat by incorporating a cupboard from the adjoing room. The former cupboard area will house toilet and washbasin.
The floor throughout is a concrete plank with a 1 1/2" sand cement screed. The screed in the former cupboard is uneven and generally at a higher level than the original bathroom. At one end it is about 25mm higher, then slopes down to around 5-10mm higher. The original bathroom area screed level is very uneven (must've been a Friday afternoon or Monday morning).
Coincidentally, a high spot in the existingl bathroom screed (in the doorway from hall) is at exactly the same level as the high spot in the former cupboard, so I'm thinking to level up to that height. I plan to lay electric underfloor heating under ceramics to finish.
I have never levelled a floor before and would really appreciate advice on which compound to use and how, what to use to clean the existing surface prior to levelling and how etc. I've read the stickies and a few threads but am nervous and very unsure.
Can you help, please?
