Hi all!
I have recently purchased a 1920s property and have stripped up the existing floor boards in the bedroom (the boards were directly laid on the concrete ground slab where the nails punched through the existing sections of the DPM, corroding the nails with time). I'm looking to lay a carpet within this room and was looking to apply a new liquid DPM then a levelling compound, ready to receive the carpet. Is there any one-coat DPM that people have used before and a compatible self-levelling compound?
The floor is particularly dusty, dispute numerous attempts at brushing it down and a brief Hoover. It doesn't appear to be damp but I feel the DPM would be better considered now.
Thanks, Simon
