Hi,

Following on from my dishwasher thread - in the kitchen I've now tidied up the floor area where I cut out half of the cabinet and have applied self-levelling compound to the area to roughly match the self-levelling compound at the sides which was already there.

The floor underneath was stone. I've got some spare tiles to match the rest of the floor which is porcelain. I'm going to mark out and cut them to size to fit, probably around 1 and a bit tiles, they are quite large tiles.

What I am struggling with is what floor tile adhesive to use? The advice on the stickied post in this subsection of the forum seems to suggest it doesn't matter too much?

What can I use that is compatible with self-levelling compound and porcelain tiles.

An adhesive that can also be used as a grout would be ideal. The existing tiles seem to have about 6/7mm of adhesive under them. I only really need a little bit so I'm looking for something cheap.

The only other tiling I would like to do is perhaps the bathroom at some point but this would need to be flexible adhesive and maybe the vestibule with reclaimed quarry tiles but again this would probably need to be a different adhesive.

Would be great to get some advice as would like to get the dishwasher fitted ASAP now!

Thanks a lot :D
