Hi there
Looking at new kitchen and extension and as part of it considering options for flooring.
Ten years ago had what were considered decent quality tiles layed on the chipboard (this looks as though its what it is) floor. I guess due to the flexibility of the chipboard over the past 5 years the tiles are no longer secure and a significant amount of grouting has come loose and swept up!!
Keen not to have the same issue again but also keen to keep for expense the down so dont really want to replace the current flooring.
So did we 'just' use a poor tiler who used the wrong adhesive and grouting or is there a bigger problem here with tiles and this type of floor?
Thanks for any advice.
