I can't seem to easily shift the floor tiles. They are laid on MDF on top of the floor boards. I want to take it back to floor boards.

Maybe I have the wrong tools, but as I'm driving my chisel under them it's taking tiny chips away. That could take forever.

Here is all I got done before I thought, maybe there is an easier way.

Any ideas please?

The easiest method is to lift the board and tile as one. However, maybe the board runs under the bath or some other fixture?

What do you finally hope to accomplish in the bathroom? That might determine what method to use.

Wouldn't the board be fixed to the floorboards?

I'm re tiling with under floor heating.

Yes, the board will be screwed (or nailed) to the floor boards but thats irrelevant once you begin to pry up at the edges.

If the tiled board in the pic doesn't run under anything - it might have been laid in two or three pieces - then drive your chisel under the edge of the board, and when it lifts a little then drive the flat bar under a little further away to the side.
Now, slowly prise up using the flat bar, and hammering in the chisel each time there's a little movement as the board and tile come up.
