Whilst I am in a mood for posing questions ...
I posted this in the Woodwork forum and was wondering if anyone here had some advice.
I have lots of old Victorian floorboards and doors in my house and am looking for varnish that will naturally darken the grain after sanding without using stain. I have been told that polyutherane floor varnishes are best for this, rather than water-based varnish.
Bonakemi Mega has been recommended for the floors. Someone told me Danish oil for the doors. Or Black Bison (??) something for the doors.
Would anyone agree with this, or have anything else they would recommend ??
Many thanks
