Hello everyone,
I have asked about this before however i did not get a reply so I thought id start a new thread. We have pretty drafty and cold floorboards on the ground floor and will be sorting this out next week. I would like to know if what im about to do will cause problems.
I plan to do this:
1 Use 100mm eco-wool insulation on stapled plastic netting between the joists
2 Use 6mm ply on top of the floorboards to even them up
3 Use a quality underlay like cloud 9 or similar
4 Carpet
My concern is that the floorboards will be sandwiched with ply on top and insulation underneath. Will this be a problem?
The eco wool is a irratant free insulation roll made from recycled plastic bottles on sale at bnq.
Any advice would be great
