Looking to get our hall and living room re-floored.. been looking into getting shut of the carpet in favour of wood...
Now, Ive learned there are 3 main types, laminate, engineered and solid wood...
I know laminate is the cheaper, and from what I have read, engineered is perhaps more durable and stronger than solid, which perhaps explains why price wise, solid and engineered and similar...
The living room is about 24sqm and the hallway prob about 8sqm.
Im thinking that as the hallway (front door to kitchen & living room) is likely to see more traffic, perhaps go for the laminate.. then splash out on engineered for the living room...
Would both require underlay??
Would appreciate any advice.. thanks!
