I think we need some more info on this.
What kind of wood (hardwood, softwood)?
What kind of porch (closed to the elements, open to the elements)
Etc.

This is an added on porch to my son's house. Can a sand and cement screed be changed to a wooden floor without vents in place. There are no vents in porch as it is now.

Still not sure about this one. Do you plan to install wooden boards on battens (the raft you mentioned)?
The thing I don know is to keep the humidity in any are where there's wood between 40 - 65% with a temperature ideally not lower than 10 - 15 degrees celsius.
