Floplast 32mm waste pipe gluing?

I seem to have two different types of Floplast 32mm waste pipe. One is a glossy finish and I think made of ABS and can be glued with a solvent type glue. The other is a more matt finish and nothing seems to stick to it and usual plastic solvent doesn't seem to touch it.

So, does anyone know what type of plastic the matt one is and can anyone suggest a glue that will stick it?

As suggested, the other one will be PB/PP not (edit) ABS/PVC - designed for push fit and normally has a smaller OD and would be loose in the ABS Solvent Weld(SW) fittings - Cannot be glued/SW'd. Compression would be the normal way to join them.

I appreciate that in a normal plumbing situation this pipe would normally be a push fit into a connector - however, this is for an art project and I was enquiring if there was some sort of special glue that works with this type of pipe - everything we have tried has no effect and just peels off.

The only stuff I've ever been able to use to glue PolyP or PolyB and that's 2 pack rapid epoxy but the PP/PB needs well roughened up and then super clean, what are you gluing to it?

I think there's another speciality glue design specifically for and that's called - Purok VX 90 but that's really on the pro side of things

Ahh - That looks just the stuff I need - basically I wand to stick a machined internally fitted endcap in some of this pipe. I could machine the endcap in aluminium but looking at the Purok VX website it says it will stick PTFE which would be my preferred material. My guess is this Purok stuff will be expensive but it certainly looks like it will do the trick.

It's specifically designed for PP but PB is also a very similar low density plastic so I'm sure it would work equally as well on either.

I also believe there are also certain Loctite adhesives that work well specifically with a large range of plastics and may be easier and cheaper to source
