Hi,
I've pretty much decided on a Little Wenlock Classic multifuel stove (probably just burning anthracite) in our large living room.
The flue outlet on the stove is 5" but i've been finding info suggesting the use of a 6" flue liner is either necessary or compulsory.
The local Aga supplier just says a minimum of 5" is fine. There is no problem in fitting the larger size in the chimney.
Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of this please?.
Also I've seen a heat convector box, which is basically a steel sheet liner in the fireplace with a sloping top to direct heat out into the room. Does this seem a good idea?.
