Hi All,

Just fitted a side-entry one of the fluidmaster quiet valves to my CW tank. The packaging has a WRAS approved logo on it, but the instructions mumble about ensuring that the water level does not cover the outlet tube for it to meet WRAS requirements

As you can see from the design, with the integrated float, that just isn't possible.

This has left me a bit confused. Should I fit a DCV ? Or should I not care and go back to sleep?

Cheers

What they're referring to is the overflow, sorry, warning pipe. Must have enough flow to prevent water reaching the inlet in order to meet backflow prevention regs.
Dunno why they couldn't be a bit clearer about it

thanks chris,

so, considering that the outlet normally sits underwater, does it need a DCV, or is it ok ?
