Hi.
I have a 10 year old potterton Suprima 40l (connected to a mains pressure system (barratts house))
It was working fine for years, but over the passed few months it is doing my head in. (needing constant resets)
It started off by becoming very noisy so I drained the central heating system by turning off the stopcock, attaching a hose to each of the downstairs radiators (there was a drain point on each of them) and the water that came out was black (but not sludgy).
I then refilled the system, and bled it, and all was OK for about 2 weeks.
The problem however started again so I gave it another drain and the water again was black.
Is this correct or am I missing a vital something.
If it is correct, do I have to do this a few times to thoroughly clean the system
Thanks in advance
