I have doors as per link (I look at the garden not the sea).
The handle has become extremely floopy on both sides.
On the photo
Under the 'fsd' there is a small role pin that is not fully home, I have tried tapping it back, but it will not move.
I dont think that is the problem though.
Does the 'fsd; insert remove?, I think there might be a screw behind it which has worked loose.
Anyone out there fit these doors?

I removed the 'fsd' insert nothing behind that, just decorative.

Have you tried unscrewing the door handle off the frame? Is there a small grub screw under the handle spindle?

Masona, I removed the handle, it was a rolled pin that had come out of its position. Using a vice I tapped it back seems ok now. Thanks

Ok, so a year on still having problems, I have supplied with 2 new handles, I think the design is crap & I have told them.
I was locked out over Christmas exterior handle broke, I have sent them an email waiting for reply (probably closed till next week).
I was thinking along the lines of putting what seems to be called a 'Victorian centre door pull', I thought if I put one inside & out & use the handle to open the catch & then the knob to pull.
I am looking for one where there is a centre shaft & I can put a knob on each side & hold in place with a grub screw. Is there such a thing or as anyone got a better idea?.

I have the exact same issue with the exact same door handle. One by one all three on my bi-fold doors have broken. It's always the one on the main door that breaks as it gets the most use, and I've been rotating the other handles through the main door to keep it functioning. But I've now run out :)

There's a fundamental design flaw with these handles - the flimsy pin that fixes the handle to the door isn't up to the wear and tear of every day use.

Out of interest, what was your solution to this problem?

Does anyone know how to remove these handles, I have one where the handle has broken off so have bought a replacement.

If I unscrew the handle from the frame I thought it would just slide out but it doesnt?

Also how does the cylinder lock come out? Its is just the central screw in the middle? I removed that but it seems to only slide a few cm, it doesnt slide out? Would there be something else holding this in place?

thanks

New member so apologies for the late reply. I have the same type of handle [its just not an "FSD" manufactured handle] installed c2011 and the same problem- the very small circular pin has fallen out, so the handle is broken. Did apowers and markostanley find a replacement handle that works or an alternative solution?
Many thanks
