Fontecal boiler spare

Are there any other suppliers of Fontecal boiler spares apart from Craig in Sheffield? I need a fan for a Caldaie X-ER and have been waiting since Christmas. I have tried emailing Fontecal direct but with no reply. regards Max

I can't recall your model but only know ICI Caldaie models Rio or Solar.
How old is your boiler? You've been waiting sinc WHEN?

ICI Caldai are still around , but they no longer do domestic boilers in the Uk ?? only industrial I think! although spares are avaiiable for the solar ect from them ? I think ?

Fontecal , most boiler manus never manufacture fans they are bought in ones , there fore I would hazard a guess the the fan you are after is fitted to something else obviusly the next question is what ???

do you have the old one ?? anything written on it ?? can you post a picture ? some one might I.D it ? only fontecal boiler I am aware of is squirrel think that is what it is called ??

unfortunately for you some of the Posts here are correct,and they do only commercial in the UK now, their main agent is Hamworthy from Poole so you may get some help from them, but if I was you I would take the fan to a local Electrical motor specialist and either have the motor rewound or replaced , most motors can be replaced and usually will only cost you about £30 or so, another alternative would be to take the fan to your local Wolsley parts centre and ask if they have one it might be listed under another manufacturer but lots of them are exactly the same, I used to do a lot of work for Fontecal and you will find them very hard to deal with in the UK best of luck mate

Yes you are correct they are a bit like that , the biggest problem that they have as a company is that they in most cases only make the heat exchanger and the gas train is made by someone else but they get lumped with every enquiery, not defending them in any way but as always if you want an answer to a problem best to go to the main man , I worked a lot with their Tech Dept and they have some decent blokes but you would never get through to them on the phone

Its interesting that MyTub is listing a fan for another ICI boiler. You might ask them if they have any source for the one you need.
