Ford Fiesta battery change

I am trying to change the battery in a 1989 Ford Fiesta. The battery sits on a shelf, and there is a small plastic retaining stud on the shelf which I have removed. As far as I can see the battery should now slide out, but it's not moving. Does anyone have any ideas?

if memory serves me right ford use to have a clamp that held the battery in place I think it was on the back of the battery (side nearest to the bulk head) the bolt always rusted so soak it with WD40 and the battery should just lift off
