ford fiesta flight k reg

i have just brought a ford fiesta flight k reg and i am having problems with it stalling.
it is a 1.4 carb engine,it starts fine but will judder when cold then be fine and then when the temperature rises it stalls.
this doesnt happen all the time though.......any ideas anyone?

oh yeah and is it easy to change/service the carb?

Check the little air pipes for leaks and give the carb a clean out with some carb cleaner. This can also be used to find leaks....... spray it round the carb and pipes with the engine running, if the engine revs pick up then it is sucking in the carb cleaner, which means you have a leak
