Hi replacing what i think are duo-plain concrete tiles however they are 380mm wide not sure if these are still made or not think the standard width of marley, redland etc duo plains are 330mm wide. Have looked at the back of the tile which have forth on the back does anyone know where i would get these tiles or has any information on them tryed asphaltic jewson mkm etc but to no avail. Thanks

The Forth was a roof tile maufactured by a company called Scotcem. This business closed in 2008. You may be a ble to find replacements in the area (Edinburgh) local to where the factory used to be.

Asphaltic Roof supplies holds an extensive stock of Scotcem products. I bought some Scotcem Pentlands (380 mm) from them today.

4 roof tiles were bought and the price charged by Asphaltic was £4.50 each + VAT (a total of £21.60).
My brother-in-law called in for them and he is fairly street-wise but I was surprised by how expensive they were. I think that one was new and the others were used. As I was desperate for them, I was only too pleased to have the replacements.
Obviously, the broken tiles had "Scotcem" on the back of them. The quality of these tiles is poor - they were known as an "economy" tile - the surface washes off them and forms a sludge in the gutters, which have to be cleaned out every year. I am not surprised that some house owners pay to have the Scotcem roof tiles power-washed and sealed.

Hi Honestworker , thanks for the feedback. I was worried you were going to say they were expensive as they are no longer produced. I need some work done on my roof and one Roofer suggested I need 50 tiles, I think its a bit of an over estimate but will still be expensive. Cheers
