I live in Essex and i have a clay Subsoil. The base of the pond will be a concrete Raft 9inches thick, The walls will be Conrete Blocks 18x9x4 laid on there sides , My worry is the Clay moving up and cracking the Raft, what should I do to compensate for any movement . I will not be using a liner to seal the walls

Lay A252 mesh top and bottom in the base, with L-shaped starter bars into a 100mm concrete cavity between two 100mm skins of blockwork and A252 mesh placed centrally. Total overkill, but will keep it all together, if the clay expands/contracts - not guaranteed that it will end up level, obviously. Make sure ground water levels aren't high (ie above the bottom of the pond by any significant amount), if you ever empty it for any reason, else out from the ground it will pop.
Whatever you do, don't put Diddy Koi Carp in there, else they'll have the lot away before morning
Edited to add: you could use hollow blocks with T12 rebar in as an alternative, but you'd need accurate setting out of the starter bars from the base.
