We need to replace our outdoor toilet door (now being used for storage in our garden). Most of the quotes have been for a framed, ledged and braced door but the last person suggested a plywood exterior fire door with a weather drip fitted at the bottom to stop it rotting (which was a problem with the last one). It's cheaper but I don't know if there's a good reason for this.

We don't want to spend a fortune on this, but at the same time, we want it to last.

Any thoughts?

Had such a door to rear of office premises, even with drip bar the bottom rotted away [though it did last 20+years]. Is it an exposed position?

Thanks. No not really, although it doesn't get direct sunlight and it's east facing, so there my be quite damp conditions.

I would be happy with 20 years to be honest!
