Do you want to edit an existing PDF or create a new one?

For creating a new document, if I recall correctly Sun's OpenOffice will let you save as PDF.

For editing an existing one, if its just text you should be able to copy and paste in the editor of your choice.

Creating a pdf is not a problem, just install apdf printer..plenty about all free. M/s office even has it.

To edit / work on a pdf is totally different.

Have just loaded PDF-Xchange, it seems brill for editing, which is what I wanted
