Can anyone give the correct definition of the term 'freedom fighter' i hear different definitions from different people, the only one i can come up with is someone to whom we supply or sell weapons to and will further the national interests of this country. The fact that innocent people will get killed is irrelevant.

Depends purely on your point of view/where you live.

Millions of people believe Blair and Bush are terrorists, whilst Osama is a freedom fighter.

No Tim, Outspan make the light bulbs.

Osama is the president elect of of the USA.

The two are essentially the same except that a 'freedom fighter' will generally be fighting against some oppressive of dictatorial regime, whilst a terrorist will be fighting against any regime of a different political opinion - whether it is oppressive or not.

Consider ...

Hitler fought for the freedom of the German nation from oppressive post WW1 policies of the allies

Oliver Cromwell fought a terrorist campaign to remove power from the monarchy.

Depending on your [political] POV, the above may be true or false

Nothing to do with the Albert Hall then

Oliver Cromwell fought a terrorist campaign to remove power from the monarchy.
He forgot the wealth!
