Freezer drain pipe clogging again

The floor of the freezer in my 8 year old Hoover fridge freezer gets a build-up of ice, which causes the bottom drawer to stick (now broken).
I defrosted it and unblocked the frozen drain pipe. Right away, the appliance sounded healthier, like it wasn't having to work extra hard.
This was only a week ago and, already, ice is starting to drip down and form on the floor under the bottom drawer. Again, I found that the drain pipe was starting to freeze.
Any suggestions re what I might try to prevent this from happening?
Thanks

Have you tried defrosting it You could always do a search to see if your model has a defrost element that may have failed

In a Hoover FF you can easily take the panel off the back of the freezer compartment to inspect, this void often get's frozen solid, only a thorough defrost or going at it with a hammer will get rid of the ice build up.

Is it a (nominally) frost-free freezer?

How long was it turned off when you defrosted it?

If the freezing coil is blocked it can keep freezing in the same spot as the blockage , not usually a viable repair ,

Is it a 'frost-free' type? If so, I can tell you exactly what it is. It's too much stuff in the top part, where the fan is, stopping the circulation of the air. I've experienced the same issue.
