As per the title -- the sill for my French doors is short by about 10-15mm either end. This is because the builders didn't read the plans properly and have built the opening too wide. Unfortunately it's too late for them to do anything now so I'm on my own.
I've spent a good few hours trying to source a new one, but nobody local sells that profile.
Once the sill is fixed to the bottom of the frame, I'm going to fix the doors into the side brickwork using Fischer fixings as well as fixing foam, and as you'll all know the foam is then trimmed and the small gap will then be covered with UPVc trim fixed onto it externally. Should I not be able to source a sill, would it be acceptable to extend the side trim down the bottom and silicone around the edges to hide the gap and stop water ingress?
