Hey guys I recently took off some plaster in my hallway, put thicker plaster then a layer of skim. Waited around a day then put one coat of paint on. 2 days later I'm noticing it's bubbling. Only certain areas and at mo only areas where skim was applied. I've use dryzone anti mould additive in this paint. Also same for ceiling. Any ideas?

Was it a vinyl paint?

On new, damp plaster?
No to vinyl.

Possibly damp but there were several places that I did and it's all around halfway up the stairs. Top and bottom of stairs are good

A couple hours after the plaster was spread?! Ayee, this time of year I'd have given it a few weeks and got on with something else on the job list!

What paint did you use? A mist coat is recommended on new plaster. A contract matt thinned down or a plaster paint. This allows moisture out of the plaster between coats which in this case I'd say it was still wet.
Does it scrape off easy?

The paint is B and Q tough and durable paint. Just remembered it did have a 80 paint /20 mix and left just a day. The bubble part yes the area around it I have sanded back to plaster to help.it dry out

Is that an acrylic?

You should have used a breathable paint for new plaster.

You can scrape it off now, or later, as you wish.
